Scene takeover – Pursuing collective liberation: A Broadcast & discussion on Palestine part II

Language: 🇬🇧
More than 200 days have passed since the beginning of a genocide against the Palestinian people. Despite global protests, encampments, and calls for a ceasefire, the colonial violence continues unabated, but from Palestinians in Gaza, we learn that we must not let despair overcome us. Instead, we all have a duty to speak up, resist, and persist. Genocide and catastrophe are ongoing but can never be normalized. The pursuit for Palestinian liberation is teaching us to remain steadfast against silencing and misinformation.
Our goals are aligned, our rage is human, and our voices will be heard.
For the past 2 years Scene has been creating spaces where artists from the Arab region congregate and communicate. Today, we are hosting a discussion and broadcast in support of the struggle in Palestine, dedicated specifically to Gaza. We invite you to stand firm in protest and bear witness against the genocide. From 16:00 we will be in Gólya with the South South movement for a discussion on how the struggle in Palestine is at the heart of collective liberation from colonial systems.
The 12-hour mix is curated by Learning Palestine and 24H Palestine and published on Radio Lahmacun. We also included a 2hr selection from the latest release ‘Enough!’ from various influential artists supporting the Palestinian struggle.
Our deepest thanks to Radio El Hara and Radio Flouka for putting us in touch with the curators. Gólya and Radio Lahmacun for hosting us and South South movement for the learning opportunity.
We welcome your direct contributions to the Ghassan Abu Sittah Children's Fund. Your donations will directly support the education and well-being of Palestinian children affected by the occupation.
